How Much Does a Website Cost in 2026? A Pricing Guide

How much does a website cost in 2026? A detailed guide to the prices of websites, landing pages, online shops and additional services. Learn the real costs and avoid burning your budget.

Damian Zieliński · dekada72h

"How much does a website cost?" - it is a question we hear several times a week. And we understand why it is so common: website prices can differ tenfold. One freelancer will offer a site for 500 PLN, an agency for 5,000 PLN, and another for 15,000 PLN. How is that possible? What exactly are you paying for? And which option is really best for your company?

In this article we will answer these questions honestly and without beating around the bush. As an agency with more than 10 years of experience building sites from scratch, we see every day how the decision about the price of a website affects the business success of our clients. We will show you the real costs, explain what is worth paying for and where you can save.

Website Price List 2026 - Real Price Ranges

Let us start with specifics. Here are the real price ranges of websites in Poland in 2026, depending on the type of project:

Type of sitePrice range 2026What you get
A business card site (3-5 subpages)3,000 - 6,000 PLNHome, About us, Services, Contact, basic SEO
A company website (6-15 subpages)5,000 - 12,000 PLNAn extended offer, portfolio, blog, form, SEO
A landing page1,500 - 4,000 PLNOne page optimised for conversion from ads
An online shop8,000 - 30,000 PLNA product catalogue, cart, payments, a management panel
A portal / web application18,000 - 60,000+ PLNA booking system, user login, advanced features

Note: these prices apply to professional projects from experienced agencies and freelancers. If someone offers a company site for 300-500 PLN, it is almost certainly a ready-made template with the texts swapped - not an individual project.

What Affects the Price of a Website? 7 Key Factors

Why does one site cost 2,000 PLN and another 15,000 PLN? The price of a website depends on a few specific factors. Understanding them will help you judge whether the offer you received is fair.

  • Technology: a template vs code from scratch - The most important price factor. A site from a ready-made WordPress template is cheaper to start (but more expensive to maintain). A site written from scratch in HTML/CSS is more expensive at the start, but faster, more secure and cheaper to maintain. We wrote more about this comparison in the article HTML vs WordPress.
  • The number of subpages and features - A site with 5 subpages costs less than a site with 15 subpages, a blog, a booking system and a chatbot. Every extra feature takes time to design, code and test.
  • Design uniqueness - A ready-made template for a few hundred zloty looks like thousands of other sites. A unique design, made specially for your brand, takes the work of a designer and a developer - but sets you apart from the competition.
  • Copywriting (the texts on the site) - Professionally written sales copy costs, but is worth every zloty. Good copywriting can double conversion. Some agencies include it in the price, others charge for it separately.
  • SEO optimisation - Basic SEO (meta tags, headings, alt tags) should be standard. Advanced SEO (keyword strategy, structured data, technical optimisation) is added value that translates into visibility in Google.
  • Integrations and automation - A contact form is standard. But integration with a CRM, an AI chatbot, a booking system, automatic follow-ups - these are extra features that require configuration. We wrote about this in more detail in the article on business process automation.
  • The contractor's experience - A freelancer with a year of experience offers different rates than an agency with a 10-year portfolio. You pay not only for working time, but for the knowledge that lets you avoid mistakes and deliver a solution that really works.

Analysing website costs on a laptop screen

The price of a website depends on many factors - it is worth understanding all of them before making a decision.

Website Costs by Industry 2026

A site's price is not a single number for everyone. A beauty salon in Krzyki will need a different budget from an extensive B2B shop with ERP integration. Below we present real price ranges for 8 key industries, based on projects from 2025-2026 in Wrocław and other cities.

Education/courses10-30k PLN6-60kLMS, payments, certificates, video streaming, forum

Small E-commerce (up to 100 products) - 8-15k PLN

A small online shop is today the most popular type of project in the SMB segment. A budget of 8-15 thousand zloty covers: a product catalogue with variants (sizes, colours), integrations with at least 2-3 payment gateways (Przelewy24, BLIK, card), a simple warehouse integration or manual stock management, logistics forms (InPost, DPD, Poczta Polska) and an order management panel.

For a professional HTML/Next.js shop expect the bottom of the range, while WooCommerce with premium themes usually exceeds 12 thousand. Remember that full integration with an accounting system (Comarch ERP Optima, Subiekt) will add 3-5 thousand to the base amount. You will find more details in the article on online shops in Wrocław.

Large E-commerce (1000+ SKUs) - 30-80k PLN

A large shop with thousands of products is an enterprise project. A budget of 30-80 thousand covers: full ERP integration (Comarch, Subiekt, Microsoft Dynamics), product import/export through an API, multi-language and multi-currency, a B2B portal with different price lists for customer groups, advanced filters, a system of discounts and promo codes, marketplace integrations (Allegro, Amazon), conversion analytics and full performance for heavy traffic.

Migration from an existing shop (e.g. Magento to Shopware) is an additional 10-30 thousand. Projects of this type take 3-6 months and require a team of 3-5 people.

A comparison of website costs in different industries 2026

Local Services (3-8k PLN)

Beauty salons, hairdressers, individual lawyers, dentists, mechanics - for them a site is above all a tool for winning customers from Google Maps. A budget of 3-8 thousand gives: 3-5 subpages describing services, Google Business Profile integration, an online booking form (e.g. Booksy, Reservio or custom), a photo gallery of completed work, a map, customer reviews and an SSL certificate. The key to success in this category is local SEO optimisation - a link to the Google business listing, NAP in the footer, LocalBusiness structured data. Expect 5-15 enquiries a month from Google with correct optimisation.

B2B SaaS Landing (5-15k PLN)

Sites for SaaS and software houses need a different approach - their goal is demo booking or trial signup. A budget of 5-15 thousand covers: a hero section with a value proposition, feature sections with rich graphics, integrations with a CRM (HubSpot, Pipedrive, Salesforce) and marketing automation, an ROI calculator, case studies with concrete numbers, a multi-step demo form, Calendly integration and conversion tracking in GA4. Animations (Framer Motion or GSAP) are also essential - they are standard in the UX of modern SaaS.

Restaurants (4-10k PLN)

A restaurant's site is not just a PDF menu - it is a digital storefront. A budget of 4-10 thousand includes: an interactive menu with photos and categories, an online table reservation system, integration with an online ordering system (Pyszne, Glovo, Uber Eats or your own), a gallery of the atmosphere and the team, an events section (catering, birthdays), reviews, a map with parking and responsive design for phones (60-70% of traffic). Fast loading times are very important - the customer checks the menu on the street, on mobile 4G/5G.

Law Firms (6-15k PLN)

Law firms need a site that builds trust. A budget of 6-15 thousand gives: a professional design with a subtle colour palette, specialisation sections (civil, commercial, criminal law), a team with biographies and photos, an expert blog (key for SEO), an FAQ addressing the most common problems, an online initial consultation form (with a GDPR clause), anonymous case studies and LegalService structured data. Trust signals: certificates, memberships in organisations (OIRP), publications, years of experience.

Health/Medicine (8-20k PLN)

The industry most demanding in terms of GDPR and medical law. A budget of 8-20 thousand includes: an online booking system (with or without PESEL verification), forms with end-to-end encryption, doctor sections with licence numbers, descriptions of procedures with prices, certificates (ISO, NFZ authorisations), a location map, an educational blog, an FAQ, integration with medical systems (KAMSOFT, Medilabs) and full compliance with GDPR and the law on the protection of medical data. A PWA enables install on mobile - a plus for patient engagement.

Education/Courses (10-30k PLN)

Educational platforms are the most complex category. A budget of 10-30 thousand includes: an LMS (Learning Management System) with modules, lessons, quizzes, video streaming with protected content (e.g. AWS S3 + CloudFront), subscription or pay-per-course payments (Stripe, PayU), a certificate system (PDFs auto-generated on completion), a forum/chat for students, an admin panel for publishing content, progress statistics, multi-instructor support and email marketing automation (drip campaigns). Larger projects with a custom LMS reach 50-60 thousand.

Hidden Costs Nobody Tells You About

The price of building a site is only part of the costs. Many companies learn about additional fees only after signing the contract. Here are the costs you must take into account:

Fixed Costs (yearly/monthly)

CostHTML siteWordPress site
Hosting15-50 PLN/month80-200 PLN/month
Domain (.pl or .com)50-150 PLN/year50-150 PLN/year

Updates and maintenanceNot needed100-500 PLN/month
Premium pluginsNot applicable200-2000 PLN/year
BackupsMinimal50-100 PLN/month

One-Off Costs Worth Remembering

  • Photos and graphics - A professional photo shoot (1,000-3,000 PLN) or stock photos (free or 50-200 PLN for a pack). Your own photos always look better and build trust
  • Logo and visual identity - If you do not have a logo yet, a professional design costs 500-3,000 PLN. Without it it is hard to build a consistent site
  • Copywriting - Professional texts for the site: 500-2,000 PLN depending on the number of subpages. Worth investing in - good texts sell

Difference in maintenance costs

Over 3 years an HTML site that cost 5,000 PLN to start will cost you a total of ~5,540 PLN (5,000 + 3x180 maintenance). A WordPress site for 3,000 PLN will cost a total of ~13,800 PLN (3,000

  • 3x3,600 maintenance). The "cheaper" option turns out to be more than 2x more expensive.

The Trap of a Cheap 500 PLN Website - Why It Costs More Than You Think

The internet is full of offers for "a website from 499 PLN" or "a professional site for 299 PLN". Sounds tempting? Here is what you really get for that money:

  • A ready-made WordPress template (the same as thousands of other sites on the internet)
  • Swapped texts and logo - often not even edited properly
  • Zero SEO optimisation - the site is invisible on Google
  • Slow loading (3-6 seconds) - so you lose more than half of your visitors
  • No responsiveness or a weak mobile version
  • No support after completion - "handed over, goodbye"
  • Often no ownership of the site - you pay a "subscription" and have no access to the code

But the biggest cost of a cheap site is invisible: lost customers. If your site loads slowly, looks unprofessional and does not show up on Google - how many enquiries do you lose every month? If it is even 5 enquiries a month, and the average customer value is 3,000 PLN, you lose 15,000 PLN a month on a "saving" of 4,000 PLN.

The question is not "how much does a website cost?", but "how much does not having a good website cost you?". A website is not a cost - it is a tool for making money. And a cheaper tool that does not work is more expensive than a better tool that brings customers.

What Is Worth Paying For - What Should a Professional Site Contain?

Whatever your budget, there are elements you should not give up. Here is the minimum every professional company site should contain:

  • Responsive design (Mobile-First) - More than 60% of traffic comes from phones. The site MUST look perfect on every device. It is not an add-on - it is an absolute necessity.
  • Fast loading (under 3 seconds) - Every second of delay means a 7% loss of conversion. Your site should load in under 2 seconds - and ideally under 1 second.
share of mobile traffic on company sites0%
drop in conversion for every second of loading delay0%
  • Basic SEO - Unique page titles, meta descriptions, a correct heading structure, alt tags on images, structured data. Without this Google will not find you.
  • An SSL certificate (HTTPS) - Security is a requirement of Google and your customers. A site without SSL is marked as "not secure".
  • A contact form - A simple way for customers to get in touch with you. The simpler the form, the more enquiries.
  • Analytics (Google Analytics) - You must know how many people visit your site, where they come from and what they do. Without data you cannot make good decisions.
  • Professional copy - Content sells. Badly written texts can discourage people even on the prettiest site. Good copywriting is an investment that pays back with every new customer.

Designing a professional website

A professional site is a combination of design, speed, SEO and content - every element affects business results.

Return on Investment - How Much Does a Good Website Earn?

A website is not a cost - it is an investment. And like every investment, it should pay back. Let us calculate it with a concrete example.

Suppose you run a service company - for example a law firm (see our guide to websites for law firms). You invest 5,000 PLN in a professional HTML site with SEO. After 3-6 months the site starts generating traffic from Google.

  • The site generates 500 visits a month from Google (organically, without paid ads)
  • 3% of visitors fill in the contact form = 15 enquiries a month
  • 30% of enquiries convert into paying customers = 4-5 new customers a month
  • The average customer value: 3,000 PLN
  • Revenue from new customers: 12,000 - 15,000 PLN a month

5,000 PLN

Investment in the site

15,000 PLN

Revenue a month from the site

36x

Yearly return on investment

An investment of 5,000 PLN generates 15,000 PLN of revenue a month - that is 180,000 PLN a year. That is a 36x return on investment. Even if your results are half of these figures, it is still an 18x return. No deposit, no stock market investment gives such results.

typical form conversion on company sites0%

The key word is "professional". A 500 PLN site that loads in 5 seconds, does not show up on Google and looks like a thousand others - will not bring these results. An investment in quality is not an expense - it is the best business decision you can make.

How to Choose a Website Contractor - What to Look Out For?

You already know what a site costs and what you pay for. But how do you choose the right contractor? Here are the concrete questions you should ask before making a decision:

  • "Will I own the site?" - Make sure that after the project ends you get full access to the code and files. Some companies use a "subscription" model, where you do not own the site and must pay every month for it to work.
  • "What technology will the site be built in?" - A ready-made WordPress template, WordPress with a custom theme, or code from scratch (HTML/CSS)? Each option has different advantages and long-term costs.
  • "Does the price include SEO and copywriting?" - A site without SEO is invisible on Google. A site with bad texts does not convert. Make sure these elements are in the price or you know how much they will cost separately.
  • "Can I see a portfolio and references?" - Every professional agency should be able to show its work. Check the sites they have built - do they load fast? Do they look professional on a phone?
  • "What happens after the site is handed over?" - Do they offer technical support? Do they help with updates? Can you turn to them when you need changes? The best agency is one that does not disappear after issuing the invoice.
  • "Do I pay a fixed price, or a commission on revenue?" - A perpetual commission model (e.g. a dozen or so percent of revenue "until buyout") can over a few years cost many times the price of ordinary work done for you to own. We break such a case down in our analysis of the "Aplikacja" service by Tomek Niedźwiecki - with a calculator that works out the real cost of such a commission over time.

Frequently Asked Questions About Website Costs

How much does a simple business website cost?

A simple company website (a business card site) with 3-5 subpages costs from 2,000 to 5,000 PLN. It includes responsive design, basic SEO, a contact form and Google Analytics integration. A plain HTML site is faster and more secure, while WordPress with a template is cheaper to start but more expensive to maintain (hosting, updates, plugins).

How much does a landing page cost?

A landing page costs from 1,500 to 4,000 PLN depending on complexity. The price includes graphic design, coding, copywriting and conversion optimisation. A plain HTML landing page loads in under 1 second, which directly translates into higher conversion from ads and a lower cost per lead.

How much does it cost to maintain a website per month?

An HTML site: 15-50 PLN a month (hosting of static files alone). A WordPress site: 80-200 PLN for hosting, plus 100-500 PLN for maintenance (updates, security, backups). A domain costs 50-150 PLN a year. An SSL certificate is often free in the hosting package.

Why do website prices differ so much?

The differences come from the technology (a ready-made template vs code from scratch), the number of subpages and features, the uniqueness of the design, the quality of copywriting, the level of SEO optimisation and the contractor's experience. The cheapest offers (300-500 PLN) mean a ready-made WordPress template with minimal customisation. Professional sites built from scratch start at 2,000-3,000 PLN.

Is a cheap 500 PLN website a good investment?

In short: no. A 500 PLN site is a ready-made WordPress template with the texts swapped. It looks like thousands of other sites, loads slowly (3-6 seconds), has no SEO optimisation and needs constant updates. Over 2-3 years the maintenance costs and lost customers (who go to the competition with a better site) far exceed the initial "saving".

How long does it take to build a website?

A simple business card site: a few working days. An extended company website: 2-4 weeks. An online shop: 3-8 weeks. The time depends on the complexity of the project, how quickly materials (texts, photos) are delivered and the number of rounds of corrections. At Dekada72H we agree a realistic schedule at the start of cooperation.

How much does an online shop cost in 2026?

A small shop with up to 100 products costs 8,000-15,000 PLN, a medium shop with 100-1,000 products 15,000-30,000 PLN, and a large B2B shop with 1,000+ SKUs from 30,000 PLN upwards. The price depends on payment integrations, the warehouse system, ERP and the level of customisation. You will find a full comparison in our guide to online shops in Wrocław.

When does it pay off to do a redesign instead of a new site?

A redesign pays off for a site younger than 5 years on modern technology (Next.js, Astro, custom HTML). A full rebuild is needed when the site has an old WordPress template, is inaccessible on mobile or its code blocks SEO optimisation. The cost of a redesign is usually 50-70% of the price of a new site - read more in the article on when to redesign a website.

Does the price of a website differ between cities?

Yes, although the differences are smaller than many expect. Wrocław and Kraków have similar market rates - 2,500-12,000 PLN for company sites. Warsaw is 15-25% more expensive due to higher agency costs and higher expectations of B2B clients. Smaller cities are 10-20% cheaper, but often at the cost of a lack of specialist competence (SEO, integrations, AI). If you run a company from Kraków, we have a dedicated offer of website development in Kraków - the same standards as in Wrocław, adapted to the local Lesser Poland market.

[01] FAQ

Questions about this article

01

How much does a simple business website cost?

A simple company website (a business card site) costs from 3,000 to 5,000 PLN in 2026. It usually includes 3-5 subpages, responsive design, basic SEO and a contact form. A plain HTML site is faster and more secure, while WordPress with a template is cheaper to start but more expensive to maintain.

02

How much does a landing page cost?

A landing page costs from 1,500 to 4,000 PLN depending on complexity. It includes a one-off design with copywriting, conversion optimisation and responsive design. A plain HTML landing page loads in under 1 second, which directly translates into higher conversion from ads.

03

How much does it cost to maintain a website per month?

Maintaining an HTML site costs 15-50 PLN a month (hosting alone). A WordPress site needs 80-200 PLN for hosting, plus 100-500 PLN for maintenance (updates, security). A domain is an additional 50-150 PLN a year. An SSL certificate is often free.

04

Why do website prices differ so much?

Prices differ because of the technology (template vs code from scratch), the number of subpages and features, the quality of the design (unique vs generic), SEO optimisation, copywriting and the experience of the agency. The cheapest offers usually mean a ready-made WordPress template with minimal customisation.

05

Is a cheap 500 PLN website a good investment?

A 500 PLN site is usually a ready-made WordPress template with the texts swapped. It looks like thousands of other sites, loads slowly, has no SEO optimisation and needs constant updates. Over 2-3 years the maintenance costs and lost customers far exceed the initial saving.

06

How much does an online shop cost in 2026?

A small online shop with up to 100 products costs 8,000-15,000 PLN, and a large shop with 1,000+ SKUs from 30,000 PLN upwards. The price depends on payment integrations, the warehouse system, ERP, custom features and the level of customisation. The yearly maintenance of an HTML shop is 1,500-3,000 PLN, and of Shopify/WooCommerce with premium plugins 6,000-12,000 PLN. More in our guide to online shops in Wrocław.

07

When is it worth doing a website redesign instead of a new site?

A redesign pays off when the site runs on modern technology and needs only a refresh of the visual layer, UX and SEO. A full rebuild is needed when the site is more than 5 years old, runs on an old WordPress template, is inaccessible on mobile or generates low conversion. The cost of a redesign is usually 50-70% of the price of a new site - details in the article on when to redesign a website.

08

How do I recognise an honest website quote?

An honest quote contains: a detailed scope of work (number of pages, features, integrations), an implementation schedule, maintenance costs after launch, who will own the code and what the SEO includes. Avoid offers without a specification ('company website - 5,000 PLN') and price extremes - both 500 PLN and 30,000 PLN for a simple business card site are a red flag. A professional agency is happy to explain every element of the quote.

09

Is it worth paying for a website on a subscription?

A subscription model (e.g. 199 PLN/month for 36 months) usually means you do not own the site - when the contract ends you are left with nothing. In extreme cases you will pay a total of 7,000-12,000 PLN for what would have cost 4,000 PLN one-off. A subscription may make sense only for very small companies without starting capital, but it is usually better to take a 0% loan or instalments for the investment than to 'rent' a website for years.
