Website Development in Wrocław - a Local Guide 2026

Website development in Wrocław - why is a local agency the better choice? Learn the benefits and prices, and see how a professional website will help your company win customers from Wrocław.

Damian Zieliński · dekada72h

Wrocław is one of the most dynamically developing cities in Poland. With more than 670 thousand residents, tens of thousands of companies and a growing IT sector, the capital of Lower Silesia is a place where competition for the customer is moving more and more onto the internet. If you run a company in Wrocław and do not yet have a professional website - you lose customers every day.

In this guide we will show you why it is worth investing in a website right now, how much it costs, what to pay attention to when choosing a contractor and why working with a local agency from Wrocław gives you an advantage over the competition.

The Wrocław Market - Why Is an Online Presence Key?

Wrocław is the third largest city in Poland by the number of registered companies. In every industry there are dozens, and often hundreds, of competitors. When a potential customer types "plumber Wrocław", "accounting office Wrocław" or "hair salon Krzyki" into Google - only 10 companies fit on the first page of results. The rest are invisible.

According to GUS data, Wrocław has one of the highest internet access rates in Poland - more than 89% of households. That means the vast majority of your potential customers look for services and products online before making a purchase decision.

In Wrocław more than 2 million local searches are made on Google every month. If your company does not appear in these results, your competitors take the customers who should have come to you.

6 Benefits of a Professional Website for a Wrocław Company

1. Visibility in Local Google Results

A website optimised for local SEO lets your company appear in search results for phrases related to your industry and location. "Dentist Wrocław Fabryczna", "car mechanic Psie Pole", "diet catering Wrocław" - these are phrases for which your site can rank and attract customers without paying for ads.

Importantly, local results on Google are often displayed with a map and business listings (the so-called Local Pack). To get there you need not only a Google Business Profile, but also a well-optimised website that confirms your credibility.

2. Credibility and the Trust of Wrocław Customers

The Wrocław market is demanding. Customers compare offers, read reviews and check companies on the internet. A professional website with good design, clearly described services and references inspires trust. No site or an outdated site raises suspicion.

75% of customers judge a company's credibility by the look of its website. This is not a statistic from thin air - it is the result of research carried out by Stanford Web Credibility Research. In Wrocław, where competition is high, this factor can decide who gets the job.

3. An Advantage Over the Competition in Wrocław

Many Wrocław entrepreneurs still do not have a website or use outdated sites that are not optimised for mobile devices or for SEO. This is your opportunity. A professional, fast site with good optimisation gives you an immediate advantage.

Especially in industries such as renovation services, food service, legal or medical services - where many competitors rely solely on recommendations or Facebook profiles - a well-made site lets you stand out and take customers who search on Google.

4. A Site Works for You Around the Clock

Your office may be closed, but a website never sleeps. At 10 pm on Friday, when a customer is planning a renovation and looking for a contractor - your site is there, presenting the offer and collecting enquiries. Many of our Wrocław clients confirm that most contact form enquiries come outside working hours.

5. Wrocław Niches Waiting to Be Filled

Wrocław has many districts and housing estates that are ideal micro-markets for optimisation. Krzyki, Fabryczna, Psie Pole, Śródmieście, Biskupin, Ołbin - each of these locations is a potential keyword for which your site can rank.

Example: "hairdresser Krzyki Wrocław" has much less competition than "hairdresser Wrocław", but it attracts customers who look for a service close to them and are ready to visit. These are niche phrases with high conversion, worth catching.

6. Integration With Google Business Profile

A website perfectly complements a Google Business Profile. A Google listing attracts customers searching "near me", and the site gives them the full picture of your offer. A link from the site to the Google listing (and vice versa) strengthens the position of both in search results.

How Much Does a Website Cost in Wrocław?

Website prices in Wrocław are varied and depend on many factors. Below we present an indicative price list based on current market rates in 2026.

Type of siteIndicative priceDelivery time
A business card site (3-5 subpages)2,000 - 4,000 PLN7-14 days
A company website (6-10 subpages)3,000 - 6,000 PLN2-3 weeks
A landing page1,500 - 3,500 PLN5-10 days
A site with extended SEO5,000 - 10,000 PLN3-5 weeks
An online shop8,000 - 20,000 PLN4-8 weeks

It is worth remembering that the cheapest offer does not always mean the best investment. We wrote about the cost of websites in more detail, and about what to pay attention to when choosing a contractor, in a separate article.

At Dekada72H we build websites from scratch - written by hand in HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Thanks to this they are faster, more secure and better optimised than WordPress sites. Ask for a free quote.

Why Choose a Local Agency From Wrocław?

In the age of remote work you can commission a site from a company anywhere in Poland, or even abroad. But working with a local agency from Wrocław has several important advantages:

  • In-person meetings - the possibility of meeting for a coffee and discussing the project face to face. No video call replaces direct conversation, especially at the start of cooperation.
  • Knowledge of the local market - an agency from Wrocław knows which keywords Wrocław customers type, knows the specifics of individual districts and understands the local business context.
  • Local SEO is their speciality - ranking for "service + Wrocław" phrases requires knowledge of local conditions. An agency that itself operates in Wrocław does it better.
  • Fast communication - the same time, the same time zone, often the possibility of a quick meeting in case of urgent changes.
  • Supporting Wrocław business - you support the local business ecosystem, and the agency is interested in long-term cooperation, because it builds a reputation in its city.

Local SEO in Wrocław - How Does It Work?

Local SEO is a set of activities that make your company appear in Google results when someone looks for services in your area. For Wrocław companies it is the absolute foundation of online marketing.

Google Business Profile

A free Google listing is the starting point. Fill it in precisely: add current opening hours, photos (at least 10-15), a description of services and regularly reply to customer reviews. Add a link to your website - it strengthens Google's trust in your profile.

Keywords With a Location

On your website use keywords containing the name of the city and districts. It is not enough to write "we offer flat renovations" - write "we offer flat renovations in Wrocław - Krzyki, Fabryczna, Śródmieście". This signals to Google that your company serves a specific location.

Consistent NAP Data

NAP stands for Name, Address, Phone - the company name, address and telephone number. This data must be identical on your site, in Google Business Profile, on Facebook and in all business directories. Inconsistency (e.g. a different address format) can lower your position in local results.

Customer Reviews

Google reviews have a huge impact on local optimisation. Encourage satisfied customers to leave a review. Reply to every review - both positive and negative. Companies with more than 20 reviews and an average above 4.5 stars are displayed much more often in the Local Pack.

What to Pay Attention to When Choosing a Website Contractor in Wrocław?

  1. Portfolio and references - ask for examples of completed projects. Check whether the sites in the portfolio are fast, responsive and look good on a phone.
  2. Technology - an HTML vs WordPress site - ask which technology the site will be built in and what the consequences of this choice are for speed, security and maintenance costs.
  3. SEO in the price - is basic SEO optimisation included in the price, or is it an extra cost? A site without SEO is like a business card hidden in a drawer.
  4. Responsiveness - more than 65% of internet traffic comes from mobile devices. The site must look and work perfectly on a phone.
  5. Support after launch - what happens when something breaks after 3 months? Does the contractor offer technical support and on what terms?
  6. Hosting and domain - who owns the domain? Where will the site be hosted? Make sure the domain is registered to you, not to the agency.

Industries in Wrocław That Benefit Most From a Website

Every company needs a site, but some industries will gain especially large benefits from investing in a professional website:

  • Renovation and construction services - huge competition in Wrocław, customers look for contractors through Google, a portfolio of completed projects is key.
  • Food service - restaurants, catering, food trucks - an online menu, a booking system and photos of dishes are a standard customers expect.
  • Legal and accounting services - law firms and accounting offices build trust through a professional site with a description of specialisations and experience. We also build websites for law firms from Wrocław.
  • Health and beauty - medical and dental practices, beauty salons - the possibility of online registration and a presentation of services.
  • IT and digital services - Wrocław is an IT centre in Poland, a professional site is the absolute minimum in this industry.
  • Education and tutoring - language schools, tutors, training - a site with an offer and the possibility of online sign-up.

The Website Building Process - 10 Days Step by Step

Many owners of Wrocław companies ask what a project of building a website from scratch looks like in practice. We show our proven 10-day process, which we use for a typical company site (5-8 subpages). For larger projects the timeline extends to 3-5 weeks, but the structure of the stages stays the same. This schedule assumes the timely delivery of content and graphics by the client - delays on your side push back the launch.

The website building process step by step - wireframe, design and code

Day 1-2: Discovery & Briefing (Goals, Competitor Audit, Persona)

The first stage is not designing, but understanding the client's business. We meet in person in Wrocław or on a video call (60-90 minutes) and go through a detailed briefing: what you do, who your ideal customer is, which problems they solve, what you want the site to achieve (quote requests? consultation sign-ups? product sales?).

We carry out an audit of 3-5 competitor sites from Wrocław - what they do well, where they have gaps, which phrases they rank for. We define 1-2 customer personas (who they are, what motivates them, what objections they may have) and set the project KPIs - the number of leads a month, conversion rate, average time on site.

The result of this stage is a 4-6 page document that will be the reference throughout the project.

Day 3-4: Wireframes & UX Mapping

Before we start painting colours, we design the structure. We create a sitemap with a list of all the subpages and their hierarchy, and then we draw wireframes - black-and-white sketches of the layout of each subpage. A wireframe shows where the heading, form, CTA, social proof and service sections will go - without colour, fonts or final graphics. It is the stage at which it is easy to change decisions, because nobody has invested in pixel-perfect design yet. We also map the user flow - the paths a typical customer will navigate through the site from entry to conversion. The client approves the wireframes (usually 1-2 rounds of corrections) before we move on to design.

Day 5-6: Visual Design (UI Mockups, Design System)

When the structure is approved, we design the visual layer in tools like Figma or Adobe XD. We create a design system: a palette of brand colours (with contrasts meeting WCAG 2.1 AA), typography (a main font + a heading font), a spacing system (a 4/8/16/24/32 px spacing scale), components (buttons, forms, cards, modals). Then we design all the key subpages in desktop and mobile versions - the home page, service subpages, contact, blog, a quote form. The client receives a clickable presentation in Figma, in which they can browse the design like a finished site. Design approval is a milestone - after this stage significant graphic changes cost extra and push back the launch.

Day 7-8: Development (Frontend + CMS)

Time for code. At Dekada72H we write sites by hand in plain HTML5, CSS3 and modern JavaScript - without WordPress, without heavy frameworks, without unnecessary plugins. That makes our sites load in 1-1.5 seconds (vs. 3-5 seconds for a typical WordPress site). We implement the design 1:1, taking care of semantic HTML (important for SEO), responsiveness (mobile, tablet, desktop, wide screen), accessibility (screen readers, keyboard navigation) and image optimisation (WebP format, lazy loading, responsive images). If a project needs a CMS (e.g. a blog the client will update independently), we choose a lightweight solution such as Sanity, Contentful or headless WordPress - but the frontend stays ours, custom-built.

Day 9: Content + Integrations (GA4, GTM, Forms)

A site with lorem ipsum is not a site. On this day we upload the final content (prepared earlier by the client or our copywriter), real photos, certificates, customer reviews. We configure technical integrations: Google Analytics 4 (with an appropriate cookie consent banner compliant with GDPR), Google Tag Manager (for managing marketing pixels without interfering with the code), Google Search Console (domain verification + sitemap.xml), contact forms (with anti-spam reCAPTCHA + email notification + saving to a CRM if the client uses one). We set basic conversion goals in GA4 - phone clicks, form submissions, scrolling to the pricing page. We also configure basic SEO meta tags, Open Graph for social media and schema.org structured data (LocalBusiness, Service, FAQ).

Day 10: Tests + Launch + Post-Launch Checklist

The last day is the day of quality. We go through a checklist of 50+ points before launch: tests in 5 browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge, mobile Safari), tests on 4 devices (iPhone, Android, iPad, desktop), a speed test on PageSpeed Insights (target: 90+ on mobile), an accessibility test (WCAG 2.1 AA), HTML/CSS validation, a test of all forms (do the emails arrive), a 404 test (does the site have a nice error page), an SSL check (A+ on SSL Labs), backup, DNS propagation. After launch we send the client a post-launch checklist for 30 days: setting up Google Business Profile, the first blog posts, collecting the first reviews, monitoring in Search Console, the first analysis in GA4. A site at launch is only the start - the real work is still ahead of you.

Questions to Ask Before Starting a Project - a Checklist

Choosing a website contractor is a decision that will have consequences for 2-3 years. Before you sign a contract or start a project yourself, go through these 13 questions.

Ask them of an agency, of a freelancer, but also of yourself - business goals define what to choose.

  1. Who will own the domain after the project? - It sounds trivial, but sometimes an agency registers the domain "for convenience" to itself and then the client cannot move it. Ask for written confirmation that the domain will be registered to your company, on an account that you will control.
  2. Who will own the source code? - If you ever want to change agency, will you get the code, or start from scratch? Will the code be in a private GitHub repository to which you have access?
  3. Will the site be built in HTML/CSS, or on WordPress/CMS? - These choices have consequences for 5+ years: speed, maintenance costs, vulnerability to attacks, ease of editing. There is no single good answer - it depends on your needs.
  4. What are the monthly maintenance costs? - Hosting, an SSL certificate, domain, backup, possible plugin licences. Check the full picture after launch, not just the one-time price.
  5. How many rounds of design corrections does the contract include? - The classic problem: an unlimited number of corrections = an unlimited project. The standard is 2-3 rounds of changes on the design + unlimited small corrections after launch (typos, text corrections).
  6. Are SEO and Core Web Vitals included in the price? - A site without SEO is a business card hidden in a drawer. Optimising meta tags, schema.org, sitemap, speed - this should be in the basic package, not an extra upsell.
  7. What portfolio of similar projects can you show? - Ideally 3-5 sites in your industry or with a similar profile (e.g. B2B services). Check these sites on PageSpeed, on mobile, in Google Search for industry phrases - do they really rank?
  8. What does support after launch look like - SLA and costs? - What will you do when the site stops working at 11 pm? Do you have an emergency number? What are the costs of small changes (e.g. changing a price in the price list, adding a new service)?
  9. Will the site be GDPR and Cookie Law compliant? - A cookie consent banner, a privacy policy, forms with consent to processing - this is the mandatory minimum. Lacking it is a risk of a fine of up to 4% of the company's annual turnover.
  10. Which integrations are included (GA4, GTM, forms, CRM)? - A Google Analytics 4 setup with respect for privacy, GTM for managing pixels, integration with a mailing CRM (e.g. MailerLite, Brevo, ActiveCampaign) - this should be the standard of 2026.
  11. Will the site be multi-language ready? - If you plan to enter the German or Czech market, the choice of architecture now matters. Later a migration costs 30-50% of the value of the first project.
  12. What is the planned delivery time and the penalties for delay? - A professional contract contains a deadline and penalties. Without it the project stretches to infinity.
  13. What will happen to the old site (if one exists) - 301 redirects? - A migration without redirects means losing all the SEO you have built over the years. Ask for a detailed plan for redirecting old URLs to their new equivalents.

Ask these questions at the very first meeting. The reaction of the other side - whether they answer concretely or wriggle out of answers - is the best test of professionalism. Remember also to do a SEO audit of your current site before the migration - it is the baseline against which the effects of the new version will be measured.

A Local Agency vs a Freelancer vs DIY (Webflow/Wix)

Three roads, three levels of investment, three different effects. Before choosing a contractor it is worth understanding the reality of each option. The comparison table below shows the concrete differences, and after it we will discuss 5 selection criteria.

CriterionDIY (Wix/Webflow)FreelancerA local agency in Wrocław

Support after launchNone (you are on your own)LimitedFull SLA
Strategy + briefingNoneCursoryDeep discovery
Project scalabilityHardDepends on availabilitySmooth
Continuity riskLow (your platform)High (1 person)Low (a team)

When the choice depends on 5 criteria - here is how to think about each of them.

Budget and ROI: DIY is chosen by a micro-entrepreneur for whom the site is a formality and who has 0 PLN for marketing. A freelancer is an option for a budget of 2-4k PLN, where the site is not the main sales channel. An agency - for a business where the site generates 30%+ of leads a month and mistakes cost. Think ROI: if one customer from Google is worth 2-5k PLN a month to you, an agency pays back in 2 months.

Project scale: DIY copes with 5-10 subpages. A freelancer 10-30 subpages. An agency - any scale, including multi-language, an online shop, integrations with external systems. The larger the scale, the more process, documentation and continuity matter - which a solo freelancer lacks.

Deadline and certainty of deadline: DIY depends on your time. A freelancer depends on their availability - if they fall ill, the project stops. An agency has backup in the team. For projects tied to a product launch, a season (e.g. Black Friday, holidays), an advertising campaign - delay costs. Choose a team that has reserves.

Specialist competence: DIY = none. A freelancer = an expert in 1-2 fields. An agency = a strategist + a UX designer + a UI designer + a frontend dev + an SEO specialist + a copywriter + a project manager - each an expert in their field. For complex projects this division of labour gives a significant quality advantage.

Risk and continuity: What will happen to the project when the freelancer disappears? What will happen when Wix raises prices by 50% or changes its terms? A local agency is a long-term partner - we have an office in Wrocław, a tax number, invoices, contracts. You can sue it if something goes wrong (which you probably will not do, but the awareness alone gives comfort).

A local agency vs a freelancer - a comparison of team and work process

The optimal decision depends on the phase of the business. A startup validating an idea - DIY or a freelancer. A mature company with a marketing budget - an agency. A company in a growth phase, planning to scale - an agency, to avoid having to do a redesign of the site in a year.

After Launch - What Next? A 6-Month Roadmap

The biggest surprise for owners of Wrocław companies is that the site launch is not the end, but the beginning of the real work. A site that goes onto the internet and is left on its own loses 30-40% of its visibility on Google within 12 months. Here is a realistic schedule for the first 6 months after launch.

Month 1: Monitoring and fine-tuning. Check GA4 and Search Console every day. React to 404s, indexing problems, unexpected drops in Core Web Vitals. It is a month for corrections visible only under real traffic - small changes in copy, an extra CTA, polishing the mobile UX. Configure conversion goals if they were not configured at launch. Collect the first customer reviews in Google Business Profile.

Month 2-3: Content marketing. Publish 2-4 blog posts a month, for long-tail phrases from your industry (e.g. "how much does a flat renovation cost in Wrocław", "how to choose a tax advisory firm"). A good blog article generates traffic for 2-3 years, unlike ads, which give an effect only when you pay. It is a period of building a base of content that will work for you passively.

Month 3-4: The first SEO audit. After 90 days you already have enough data in Search Console to do a thorough website SEO audit - check which phrases you are visible for, which subpages rank, where the gaps in the content architecture are. It is also the moment for link building - writing guest posts on industry portals, adding the company to industry directories, asking satisfied customers for backlinks.

Month 4-5: Conversion optimisation. The first 3-4 months collect data on what works. Now it is time for A/B tests of forms, CTAs, headlines. If the site has 1,000+ unique visitors a month, you can test specific hypotheses - e.g. "a shorter form will increase conversion by 20%". The goal: a 2x increase in conversion relative to the starting baseline.

Month 5-6: An analytics deep-dive and a growth strategy. After 6 months you can see whether the site does what it was meant to do. A strategic meeting with the agency: have the KPIs been achieved? What works better than expected? What works worse? Are additional subpages, new features or a rebrand needed? Do UX signals point to the need for a redesign (a rising bounce rate, a short time on site)? From these answers comes the roadmap for the next 12 months.

Reserve 2-4 hours a week for the site - publishing content, reacting to reviews, small updates, monitoring metrics. Monthly - 4-8 hours for larger work (analysis, A/B tests, link building). It is a realistic time budget that distinguishes a professionally run site from an abandoned one.

Wrocław vs Other Cities - When to Extend Your Presence

Many Wrocław companies, after 12-18 months of running a site, start to consider expansion to other cities - most often Kraków, Warsaw or Poznań. From the perspective of SEO and conversion it is not one choice, but three possible approaches, each with different consequences.

Variant 1: extending the current site with subpages per city. The cheapest (2-4 thousand PLN for 2-3 new subpages), but Google treats it as light geographic signals. It is enough for service companies with low competition in the target city. Necessary: a separate subpage for each city (e.g. /services/krakow), unique content (not a copy of the Wrocław one), schema.org LocalBusiness with areaServed, subpages for specific districts of the target city.

Variant 2: a separate site for a specific city (e.g. a dedicated website development for Kraków). An average cost of 5-10 thousand PLN, the best ROI when competition in the target city is of medium or higher intensity. Google sees this site as a separate geographic entity, which translates into a 3-5x higher CTR in local results than in variant 1. Necessary: a separate URL (a subdomain or /strony-internetowe-krakow), full local content, GMB with a point in the target city.

Variant 3: full expansion - a separate company brand. Only for companies with 50+ employees planning to open an office in a new city. An investment of 30-80 thousand PLN in a full-stack online presence. From the SEO perspective it gives full autonomy - the new site builds its own link profile, its own reputation, and does not compete internally with Wrocław.

For 80% of Wrocław companies that want to be visible in Kraków or Warsaw, variant 2 is optimal. Variant 1 is a short-term saving that after 6-12 months turns out more expensive because of the need to migrate to a separate domain or site.

[01] FAQ

Questions about this article

01

How much does a website cost in Wrocław?

Website prices in Wrocław start at about 2,000 PLN for a simple business card site, 3,000-6,000 PLN for a company website with an extended offer, and extended sites with additional features cost from 6,000 PLN upwards. The price depends on the number of subpages, the uniqueness of the graphic design, SEO optimisation and additional integrations.

02

How long does it take to build a website?

A simple business card site can be ready in 7-10 working days. A company website with a few subpages usually takes 2-3 weeks. Extended projects with custom features may need 4-6 weeks. The delivery time also depends on how quickly the client supplies materials.

03

Why choose a local agency from Wrocław?

A local agency from Wrocław knows the specifics of the Wrocław market, can meet in person for a consultation, understands local SEO and keywords better, and is available at the same time and in the same time zone. Cooperation is simpler, faster and more effective than with a company from the other end of the country.

04

Will a website help me win customers from Wrocław?

Yes. A professional site optimised for local SEO will let you appear in Google results for phrases like 'service + Wrocław'. Thanks to a Google Business Profile listing and the right optimisation, your site will attract customers looking for services in your city - 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

05

Do I need a website if I have a Google Maps profile?

A Google Maps profile (Google Business Profile) is a great complement, but it does not replace a website. A Google listing has limited possibilities for presenting your offer, does not allow full SEO and does not give you control over how customers perceive your company. A website plus Google Maps is the ideal combination for a local business.

06

A local agency, a freelancer or DIY (Webflow/Wix) - which to choose?

The choice depends on the budget, the time and the importance of the project for your business. DIY (Webflow, Wix, WordPress.com) will do for tests, hobbies or micro-companies where the site is a formality - the cost is 200-800 PLN a year, but quality and SEO are limited. A freelancer is a good compromise for a budget of 2,000-4,000 PLN, but there is no guarantee of continuity and support after launch is limited. A local agency from Wrocław (3,000-8,000 PLN) gives full service: strategy, design, code, SEO, support and responsibility for the result. For a company that treats the site as a sales tool, an agency is the best investment.

07

What should I ask an agency before signing a contract?

The most important questions are: who will own the domain and the source code after launch? Are SEO and Core Web Vitals optimisation included in the price? What are the monthly maintenance costs (hosting, SSL certificate, backup)? How many rounds of design corrections does the contract include? Will the site be built in plain HTML/CSS or on a CMS - and what does that mean for speed? What portfolio of projects similar to mine can you show? What does support look like after launch - SLA, response time, the cost of small changes?

08

What happens after a site launches - can I leave it alone?

A website is a living organism, not a project closed on launch day. In the first 30 days monitor the indicators in Google Analytics 4 and Search Console - check which phrases the site starts to rank for, which subpages generate enquiries, where users bounce off. Update the content every month (1-2 new blog articles or updates to existing subpages), check the SSL certificate and plugins every quarter, and every 6 months do an SEO audit and competitor analysis. After 18-24 months consider a redesign or a thorough refresh - design trends change faster than you might expect.

09

Can a site made for a Wrocław company rank outside Wrocław?

Yes, but it requires an additional strategy. Local SEO concentrates on phrases with the name of the city (e.g. 'law firm Wrocław'), but if you want to rank also for general phrases ('legal services online') or for other cities, you need separate subpages for each location - so-called location landing pages. With good content and a link building strategy a Wrocław site can rank for phrases from Warsaw, Kraków or Poznań. It is important that the content is unique for each location, not copied templates - Google detects duplicate content in seconds.
